Deceased Name: WILBUR KOHN Wilbur Kohn , 90, of Palm Bay
Fla. Wilbur Kohn, 90, of Palm Bay Fla., passed away March 1,
2012. Wilbur was born July 10, 1921 in Duluth, to the late Frank
and Bessie Slonim Kohn. He lived in Duluth, for most of his life and in Tucson,
Ariz. He moved to Florida in 2002 with his dear wife, Lois Helene Wagstrom
Kohn, who preceded him in death in 2006, after 59-years of marriage. His
brothers, Dave Kahn and Morris Kohn, also preceded him in death. Will, a B-26 pilot, was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran,
serving in the European Theater during World War II. He returned to work on
the railroad when the conflict ended and retired after more than 40-years of
service as a train conductor for the DM&IR Railroad in November 1981. Will and Lois had both been members of Peace Lutheran
Church in Palm Bay. Will's surviving family includes his son and
daughter-in-law, Paul and Fumie Kohn; and cousins, Edward and Charles Slonim.
He also had a loving extended family of 11 nieces and nephews on Lois's side.
In addition, Lorna George and her family, who loved and cared for him in his
last five years, became his close friends. All whom he knew, he touched with
kindness, gentleness, and compassion, and we shall surely miss him. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4 p.m. March 9, 2012 in Joy Lutheran
Church, 3174 Jupiter Boulevard NE, Palm Bay. Memorial Contributions are
